The Total Building Project Includes…
- Construction of a handicapped accessible new church entrance on the site of the present rectory that would take the form of a Gathering Area. This multi-functional Gathering Area would include new bathrooms and will provide a comfortable space for fellowship before and after Mass as well as a place for the Children’s Liturgy of the Word. The lower level of the Gathering Area would house state-of-the-art facilities for the Parish Pre-School Program consisting of two classrooms, 2-3 auxiliary rooms and pre-school age appropriate bathrooms.
- Complete the renovation of the former Convent into our Parish Center. The Parish Center will provide adequate meeting space for parish activities as well as serve as the hub for all business activities. We plan to move into the Parish Center in February.
- Acquisition of a new residence for the priests in close proximity to the church. Engineering studies have determined the current 100 year-old rectory requires structural renovations and replacement of electrical and mechanical systems. It has been recommended that the parish is best served by using the rectory footprint to build the new Gathering Area. The parish has made settlement on the new priests’ residence and our priests will move in February.
