Additional Safe Environment Requirements: If you are working with children as a coach/catechist/school volunteer and/or employee, you must complete an update on technology! The training module you need to complete is web-based. Registration information and instructions can be accessed at www.aoptraining.org . After successful completion, you will receive an e-mail notification. Please print a copy, sign it and send it into the Parish Office, attention: George Harmansky. The entire process takes about 15 minutes. Please complete ASAP so that we do not need to interrupt your stewardship service to the children of Saint Aloysius. Thank you for your cooperation.

If you plan on volunteering with children and have not completed the safe environment requirements, you must complete both a PA State Police Clearance and a PA Child Abuse Clearance, and also attend a “Protecting God’s Children” program. State Police Clearance and Child Abuse Clearance forms can be obtained by visiting www.psp.state.pa.us . Protecting God’s Children class will be offered at Saint Aloysius on August 29 at 6:30 PM in the Gathering Center.  To register for the 8/29 class visit www.virtus.org .

 In addition, there is now a Mandated Reporter Training Session that all volunteers and employees must attend.  To register for this second session please visit:

In Summary – the following is what is needed to be able to volunteer or work with Children within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in particular our Parish School:

·             PA State Police Clearance – form available through www.psp.state.pa.us

·             PA Child Abuse Clearance – form available through www.psp.state.pa.us·             Attend the Protecting God’s Children Class (held at St. Aloysius on 8/29/11 – 6:30PM) register at: www.virtus.org

·             Complete the update on technology available at www.aoptraining.org
