A brief history of Saint Aloysius Parish

Saint Aloysius Parish, the first Catholic church established in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, traces its beginnings to 1856, when the original church building was dedicated. Our present church was dedicated in December 1891, and the cornerstone of Saint Aloysius School was laid in January 1913.

Today, our vibrant parish community includes more than 3,000 registered families. Saint Aloysius School serves 343 students, and our Parish Religious Education Program forms 150 young people in the faith. Through our many ministries and activities, we strive to meet the spiritual and social needs of all our parishioners.
