Eucharistic Adoration

O Come, let us Adore Him!

There is no more beautiful or powerful prayer on earth than the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, where Jesus' sacrifice on Calvary is renewed for us each day. It is where we most fully "remember" the love of God, what He has done for us.

The primary ends (goals) of the Mass are the four main types of prayer:
Adoration - to give God glory and praise
Contrition - to express sorrow for sin and ask forgiveness
Thanksgiving - to share gratitude for the blessings we have received
Supplication - to implore continues graces in our lives (or the lives of others) in particular ways.

Outside the Mass, the Church gives us the beautiful gift of Eucharistic Adoration, which allows us to continue our prayer to Jesus before His face in the Eucharist.

At Saint Aloysius we offer Eucharistic Adoration every Thursday following the 8:30am Mass until 5:00pm. With the exception of the occasion Thursday funeral.

The Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed during Adoration each Thursday from 3:00-3:15pm. All are welcome!

"Pray the Rosary everyday!" - Our Lady of Fatima

Rosary

Our Parish Prays the Rosary together about 30 minutes before Sunday Mass and on Wednesday Mornings after Mass. Come and join us.

The rosary is Mysterious! While it can look foreign or scandalous to non-Catholics because of its focus on Our Lady, the Rosary is actually a deeply meditative prayer experience where one can contemplate the Gospels and life of Jesus Christ through the eyes of Mary. It allows for the unification of voice, mind, and heart in ways that continue to explore new theological insights - entering deeper and deeper into the eternal "mysteries" of God.

In its form, the primary prayers of the Rosary include:

  • An act of faith (the Creed)

  • The prayer taught specifically by Our Lord (the Our Father)

  • The words of the Angel Gabriel and St. Elizabeth spoken to the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as an invocation for Mary's help in our moments of greatest need (the Haily Mary)

  • Giving all Glory to the Most Holy Trinity (Glory Be).

  • Continuous meditation on the work of God throughout history, specifically the Life, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ
